The Swinney's established their property four generations ago, in the 1920s, in this beautiful part of the World, the Frankland River. It is in the South West of Western Australia that sits the region, well-known by many as the hidden gem of the Australian wine industry. The high elevation of the vineyards means the vines enjoy warm days and cool nights, which are the perfect conditions to retain the natural acidities in the fruits. The estate was awarded 'Vineyard of the Year in 2020 by the 'Young Guns of Wines' collective. 'Farvie' is a blend made predominantly with old, bush-vines Grenache topped up with a little Mataro - both classic varieties. Viticulture is the point of focus here, so most operations are carried by hand. Show more
