Load 200 samples at a time spread around each shape parameter, in groups of 50 for each voice. ## Loading Your Own Samples 1. Connect your WOAS to a computer via USB. 2. A drive called SAMPLES should appear. - If the WOAS is currently in use (e.g. connected via MIDI), the drive will not appear. 3. Inside the drive you’ll find two hundred `.wav` files. 4. To load your own sounds, replace them with new files named exactly: - `1.wav`, `2.wav`, `3.wav`, `4.wav` etc up to '200.wav' - Format: 44.1kHz / 16-bit WAV 5. Drag and drop or copy and paste your new samples to replace the existing ones. 6. Safely unmount the SAMPLES drive and unplug your WOAS. 7. When you power the WOAS back on, it will load your new samples automatically and keep them until you replace them. The companion web app PACKERE can create sample packs for the engine: packere.orgeldream.com With it, you can select a folder of audio files or a single audio file, the app will analyse all audio present and extract 200 transients according to your settings. Supported formats: WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG Output: 200 x 44.1/16 mono WAV files. Samples are automatically categorised roughly as: - 1-50: Kicks/bass - 51-100: Snares/mid - 101-150: Textures & FX - 151-200: Hihats & Cymbals/high The analysis is tuned to work with actual drum samples, so different things may happen with other files e.g. when analysing full mixes/songs the results may vary according to the timbral qualities of the targeted audio, producing more experimental results! Turn over the device, unscrew and remove the 8 screws on the back panel. Remove the back panel. Locate the SD card holder at the bottom of the circuit board. Press the SD card lightly to release it, trying not to touch the circuit board. Remove the SD card. Slot in the new SD card and push lightly to latch it in place. Replace the back panel and screws. Your WOAS is ready to use!
