Even under high feather tension, wood feeds easy and smooth, yet firm. EVA feathers dampen vibration and will not mar even the softest woods. If the EVA feathers make accidental contact with a blade or router bit, they cut through and can be replaced; no violent reaction. Plastic feathers can shatter and become dangerous projectiles that can cause serious injury; and your featherboard is ruined.
