This Singer Featherweight 221K is in very nice condition, and it was commissioned on December 24th (Christmas Eve,) 1947. Cleaned and serviced inside and out - this 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 220-volt motor that has been rewound to work at 110-volt power with optimum speed and torque. A converter is not needed in the U.S. or Canada. This machine is from the 2nd batch of Featherweights made in the UK. When the 221 was first produced in Scotland, it was made in two small batches of just 500 machines.
