Use the cord to tie your food up in the tree. The sack doubles as a counter weight for slinging your rope over a branch. When packing, put the rope directly in the bag for easy storage. The white bag is made of the same DCF that our bear bags are made from, so you know it's strong! The DCF is super durable, making it ideal for long trips with repeated use. The Zing-It®/Lash-It® 2.2 mm cord is a high-strength, lightweight line made from Dyneema® fibers, with an approximate 650 lb tensile strength. Its proprietary Samthane® coating extends wear life while ensuring reliable knot-holding performance. The pull tape is made from high-strength polyester with a slick, low-friction finish for smooth, reliable tightening. The tensile strength is approximately 170 lb, offering excellent durability and low stretch without the bulk of traditional cordage. When hanging a bear bag, be sure to select a tree at least 200 feet away from your tent that has a sturdy branch about 15 feet off the ground.
