Well, what do we have here? Somebody at the Custom Shop got a little naughty with this one. A tele neck on a strat body? Sacrilege! Not according to the folks at Fender. This is a Frankenstein partscaster done the right way. Aged Aztec gold finished over top of a 3-tone sunburst and heavily relic'd. This guitar looks like it has decades of stories to tell, but plays like freshly churned butter. It features an alder body complemented by a maple neck with an iconic 10/56 V-profile measuring 0.90" at the 1st fret and 0.98" at the 12th. The fretboard has a 9.5" radius and a nut width of 1.65". Now let's talk about those electronics! It comes loaded up with a Custom Shop handwound '69 single coil in the neck (5.24k), Custom Shop handwound '65 Reverse Polarity single coil in the middle (6.04k), and a Custom Shop handwound Texas Special single coil in the bridge (6.11k). Controls are a standard 5-way blade switch, standard master volume pot with a tone saver bleed, Greasebucket master tone pot, and a neck/bridge blend control for dialing in that perfect balance between strat and tele tone. This guitar has been lightly used, and it has received a full fret level and fresh setup from our expert luthiers, to ensure that it plays to the absolute best of its potential.
