The Level Set Buffer solves two problems at once: the output mismatch when you swap between a single-coil guitar and a humbucker on the same rig, and the treble roll-off you get when your signal travels through a long pedalboard chain of cable and true-bypass loops. Drop it at the start of the chain and every guitar arrives at the amp at a matched level, with the top end preserved. Level, Hi-Freq and Load controls handle the setup: Level matches the output of each guitar, Hi-Freq restores the top end lost to cable capacitance, and Load lets you tune how the pedal presents to your pickups. A Main Mute footswitch cuts the signal for silent tuning while the always-on tuner output keeps the tuner fed. LED-backlit knobs, the Fender Amp Jewel LED, a magnetically latched 9V door and an anodised aluminium chassis round out the build. The kind of pedal you notice most when it is missing.
