This used Fender Muddy Waters MIM Telecaster is a modern (and cleaner) recreation of Muddy Waters' iconic red tele - the guitar he mostly played throughout his career. Here with an Ash body that's slightly thicker than a standard tele, it has some heft to it, but never overbearing or uncomfortable. The Maple C-shaped neck adds to its comfort level, and the Rosewood fingerboard with a 9 1/2" radius feels great to play. It's in Excellent condition with little playwear and has withstood 15 years of playing with no scuffing or dents anywhere, only a couple minor finish scratches on the back - it's almost like Muddy just bought it! It has a 25 1/2" scale length, a 1.65" nut width, and 21 Medium Jumbo frets. Great for soloing, it has an incredible tone thanks to its dual American Vintage Tele single-coil pickups (the bridge pickup has special staggered Alnico V magnets for a nice variation). The tone and volume controls are Fender amp knobs and the Candy Apple Red finish is complemented by the one-ply white pickguard (with additional screws to prevent buckling, just like Muddy did to his). Made in 2000 and one of the finest teles at this price, the Fender Muddy Waters MIM Telecaster was manufactured in Mexico with American-made parts. Includes a non-original hardshell case.
