A pack of 24 genuine Fender pickguard screws, number 4 gauge by 1/2 inch, Phillips head, chrome finish. Fender uses the same screw for pickguards and Telecaster control plates on m ost of its instruments, so one pack does most Stratocaster pickguards with change to spare, or several Tele control plates. Replace rather than reuse when the originals have rusted or dulled, a few went missing during a pickup swap, or the heads are chewed from the wrong driver. Use a small Phillips that fills the cross and do not overtighten; the wood under a pickguard is soft. If a screw spins in a worn hole, a sliver of cocktail stick and a drop of wood glue will give it something to bite on. Neck and bridge screws are different sizes. Show more
