An early, edible grain amaranth with gorgeous multi-colored plumes of magenta, pink, and pastel-yellow flowers perfect for northern growers. This high-protein, gluten-free grain is easy to grow and will grow in poor, dry soils. Short, stocky plants (3-4’ tall) make this amaranth easy to work with and less likely to lodge (fall over) than other grain amaranths. The edible seeds are cream-white and the leaves and stems are also edible. Thanks to Amy Newday and John Edgerton of Harvest of Joy Farm who introduced us to this great variety.
