Exceptionally strong - Constructed with two layers of heavy duty nylon Cordura (three layers in the yolk area). Quilted bulk prevents being rolled into a useful cord. No ribbing or edging to be torn off into strips. Outer two layers: Dark Blue 1000 denier nylon Cordura. (too strong to tear into strips) Quilt filler: 6 oz. polyester fiberfill. (Too bulky to be tied in knots or twisted into rope but dries quickly after laundering.) Stitching: The three layers are lock-stitch quilted together in one-inch channels. Edges and rounded corners are triple-stitched with heavy-duty nylon upholstery thread. Tear strength: The tongue tear strength of the nylon is approximately 74 pounds. This is approximately seven times the strength of the same weight canvas. Large: For most users, one blanket is large enough to fold in half and allow the user to lie between the two layers. Dimensions: 56" x 80". Small Pair: The small blankets are sold as a pair, so that two may be provided to each user - one to lay down under the person and the other as a covering.
