In this comprehensive class on fermentation, you'll learn how to make homemade pickles safely and effectively, applying pickling skills and techniques from around the world. Allerg ens: Gluten (wheat and barley), crustaceans, eggs, fish, mollusc, sesame seeds, soya, and sulphur dioxide. This class can be adapted to vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and nut-free diets. Please tell us your requirements in the field below. ---DETAILS--- This class will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of lactic fermentation and pickling. Together we'll make pickled cucumbers, Korean kimchi, German sauerkraut, and Moroccan preserved lemons to illustrate pickling techniques from different cultures (no pun intended!). You'll leave class with jars of everything you've made, along with the knowledge necessary to pickle ingredients at home safely and creatively, as well as how to incorporate them into your diet to add a bit of zing and lots of valuable nutrition to any meal. Age Restriction: 18+, or 16+ accompanied by an adult also attending the class. Alcohol Policy: A glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink is included with the price of every cook school ticket. Please bring valid ID with you as we operate a 'Challenge 25' policy, where we reserve the right to check ID for any students under or around the age of 25. Any student who arrives to class intoxicated, or appears to be so during class, will be asked to leave and not qualify for a refund. Cancellation Policy: You must contact us 7 working days before your class to be eligible for a full refund. You can transfer your seat to a different class up to 3 days before your class date.
