Real ferns are used to create the pattern in these handmade bronze earrings. The fern charms are suspended from 12 mm gold fill hoops, and have a wonderful flash while they sway. T he fern leaves used in this design are gathered from adventures in the woods around the Last Resort studio, and transformed into jewelry using the lost wax casting process. The original fern leaf was dried, pressed, then carefully included with a wax model of the finished piece, molded, then another wax copy made. Then molded again, and cast in fine jeweler's bronze. After casting, is cleanup! Lots of love and steps go into the creation of Last Resort Jewelry, all in my home studio in the woods. The fern charms are removable from their gold fill hoops, and arrive with a pouch to store them during your adventures... you can keep the hoops in!
