Me and ferns have a very complicated history, b ut we've finally managed to get along thanks, in large part, to this mix. It provides excellent nutrition and moisture retention (which ferns love) while also being airy enough to keep oxygen going to the roots which helps prevent rot. (Particularly important for water-loving plants.)
