The large thumb screw secures the positioning so it won't move, and is large enough to be operated easily with gloves. Magnetic base with rubber cover A pattern of rare-earth magnets provides secure attachment to ferrous surfaces including corner bead, steel and cast iron surfaces. A rubber coating protects surfaces from damage and keeps the adapter from slipping. Steel attachment plate included For attachment to non-ferrous surfaces, a steel plate is included that can be attached with a single screw. Ideal for use on ladders or wooden cabinets or shop fixtures. Pass through slot for a clamp The pass-through window in the base allows a Festool FS Clamp to be used to clamp the adapter to non-ferrous materials such as wood studs or fibreglass ladders. 1/4-20 threaded stud The common thread allows the SysLite to be quickly attached to the adapter.
