The latest offering from Fever Ray, the solo project of one-ha lf of the Knife, Karin Dreijer is a delightfully eccentric synthpop record that lays down memorable hooks just as often as it delivers something wholly individual. Spacey, dynamic and peculiar, this is a pop album that simultaneously feels unashamed in its popness while delivering aesthetics that land somewhere between dubstep, ambient and East Asian classical.
