Certified to EN 15659 LFS 60P by ECB-S, the FF range has been tested at temperatures of up to 900°C, helping protect important business and personal documents against the devastating effects of fire. Available with 2, 3 or 4 drawers and a choice of Key or Electronic PIN locking, the Burton FF is ideal for offices, professional practices, schools, universities and organisations that need important paperwork to remain both organised and protected. Certified 60-Minute Fire Protection The Burton FF is independently tested and certified to: EN 15659 LFS 60P by ECB-S This provides 60 minutes of certified fire protection for paper documents. The cabinet uses a double-wall construction, with the cavity between the inner and outer walls filled with specialist fire-resistant material. During testing, the cabinet is subjected to temperatures of up to 900°C, providing valuable protection for important paper records in the event of a building fire. Designed for A4 & Foolscap Files Unlike a conventional fire safe, the Burton FF is designed specifically around everyday filing. Each drawer accommodates both A4 and Foolscap suspension files, making it easy to incorporate into an existing office filing system without transferring documents into boxes or folders each evening. Each individual drawer can support up to 40kg of documents, making the FF suitable for substantial business archives and regularly accessed records. Typical applications include: Business and financial records Contracts and legal documents Personnel and HR files Client and customer records Property documentation Insurance records Educational and examination records Historical and archival documents 2, 3 or 4 Drawer Models Choose the capacity that best suits your storage requirements. Each drawer provides approximately 48 litres of storage capacity. Key or Electronic PIN Locking Each cabinet is available with a choice of Key or Electronic PIN locking. Key Locking The key version uses a high-security laser-cut style cam lock and is supplied with two keys. It provides simple, reliable mechanical access without batteries or electronic programming. Electronic PIN Locking The electronic version provides convenient keypad access using a programmable 6–8 digit code. It supports both an Administrator Code and User Code, together with programmable time-delay functionality. An external power facility using a 9V battery provides emergency power should the internal battery become depleted. Individual Drawer Control An especially useful feature of the Burton FF is the ability to control how individual drawers interact with the cabinet's central locking system. Individual drawer latches allow selected drawers to be included or excluded from the central lock. There is also the option to control individual drawers with their own high-security cam lock. This provides greater flexibility for organisations where different documents require different levels of access control. Anti-Tilt Safety System The FF incorporates an anti-tilt mechanism, allowing only one drawer to be fully opened at a time. This is particularly important with a heavily loaded filing cabinet, helping maintain stability when individual drawers may contain up to 40kg of documents. Tactile rubber handles provide comfortable everyday operation. Substantial Fire-Resistant Construction The Burton FF is considerably more substantial than a conventional office filing cabinet. Depending on size, models weigh between 110kg and 210kg, reflecting the double-wall construction and fire-resistant insulation required to achieve its certified level of protection. The cabinet is finished in a clean White finish, making it suitable for modern offices, archives and professional environments. SafeFort Recommendation The Burton FF Fireproof Filing Cabinet is an excellent solution for businesses and organisations that need important paper records to remain readily accessible during the working day without sacrificing certified fire protection. Unlike a conventional fire safe, documents remain organised within familiar A4 or Foolscap suspension files, making the FF particularly well suited to records that need to be accessed regularly. Its independently certified EN 15659 LFS 60P protection provides reassurance that important paperwork has been tested for up to 60 minutes of fire exposure, while the choice of 2, 3 or 4 drawers allows the system to grow with the amount of documentation being protected. For general business records, contracts, HR files, legal documentation and other important paperwork, the Burton FF offers an excellent balance of certified fire protection, storage capacity and everyday accessibility. Customers who also require independently certified burglary protection for cash, valuables or particularly sensitive documents should consider the Burton FireMax 4/60 or FireMax 10/60, which combine certified fire protection with independently tested security ratings. For organisations whose primary requirement is protecting substantial quantities of paper records against fire while retaining the convenience of a traditional filing cabinet, the Burton FF is our recommended solution.
