Woodpecker FI-P (Cordless Down Pack) The Woodpecker / DTE Fi-P Gutta Percha Obturation Device is a versatile, cordless tool designed for efficient root canal obturation. While it can be paired with the Fi-G (Hot Melting & Filling Gun) as part of a complete obturation system, the Fi-P can also be used separately, functioning like a “Touch and Heat" device for quick, precise softening and packing of gutta-percha. Its rapid heating and ergonomic features make it an essential tool for both routine and advanced endodontic procedures. Key Features: Rapid Heating in 0.2 Seconds: Heats up almost instantly, allowing for immediate use and quicker procedures. Four Adjustable Temperature Settings: Offers temperatures of 150°C, 180°C, 200°C, and 230°C, suitable for various types of gutta-percha. Cordless Operation with High-Capacity Battery: Provides up to 4 hours of autonomy or 1,500 operations on a full charge, ensuring long-lasting use. Standalone Functionality: Can be used independently as a "Touch and Heat" endodontic device, ideal for softening and cutting gutta-percha during root canal treatments. Dual-Directional OLED Display: The rotating display makes it easy to use for both left-handed and right-handed operators. Pre-Curved Attackers/Pluggers: Thin, pre-curved tips (0.35 mm) reach deep into narrow and lateral root canals, improving precision. Automatic Shutoff: Powers down after 10 minutes of inactivity, saving battery life. Installation and Use Installation: Turn off the device before installing or removing the Work Tip. Align the Work Tip's hexagonal plug with the socket in the Heating and Packing Instrument. Install the Work Tip Protector to prevent scalding. Operation: Select a suitable Work Tip based on clinical needs. Press the “ON/OFF” button to power on the device and select the desired preheating temperature. Use the Heating button to start heating and apply gentle, continuous pressure to soften and pressurize the gutta-percha. Avoid continuous heating for more than 4 seconds to prevent overheating and potential scalding. Cleaning and Maintenance: After use, clean, disinfect, and sterilize the Work Tip. Do not polish or scratch the Work Tip. Replace if bent or worn to ensure even heating.
