Ficus elastica 'Melany'Leaves sit close together along the upright stems, creating a dense, compact shape. New foliage can open greenish burgundy with a pink central vein before ma turing to deep glossy green. New main stems may grow from near the base, helping the plant fill out close to the pot. Individual stems usually make few side branches, so the compact look comes mainly from short leaf spacing and growth from the base. Show more
