Ficus Emerald is a very handsome and hardy evergreen tree. Once this boy is established he’s not going anywhere. Pests leave him alone, the weather doesn’t fuss him, and he needs little from you. Ficus Emerald is often used as a standard tree because the trunk is an attractive grey colour. They look very smart pruned into lollipop shapes and forgive your mistakes with good grace, but grow just as happily as a shaggy bush. Use Emerald as a feature plant or a screen to keep out chilly winds. The dark green dense foliage is shiny and reflects light to brighten your garden. Little flowers will appear in spring which pollinators always manage to find despite their tiny size. Spring is a good time to give him a good feed of organic fertilizer to make sure the foliage stays blindingly shiny too. Ficus Emerald is simple to care for and makes a statement on your patio.
