Ficus quercifolia, also known as Oak Leaf Creeping Fig or String of Frogs, is a prized species in the Ficus family. The unique leaf shape, reminiscent of a frog, makes it a popular choice among customers. While its growth rate may be slower, once established, it provides excellent coverage and adds depth to any terrarium. Light: Ficus prefer bright indirect light. This plant will not do well in low light conditions. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to prevent dust accumulation and help your plant photosynthesize efficiently. Ficus should not be placed in a drafty space or conditions with dramatic temperature changes in order to prevent defoliation. Water: This plant does not like to sit in soggy soil, and over-watering is one of the most common reasons for leaf loss and yellowing. Water only when the plant is dry at least halfway down in its container.Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this Ficus variety. We recommend running a humidifier if your space is especially dry.
