When we first released our Fiddler line, we envisioned a platform to experiment with all sorts of flavor profiles. Fiddler Amburana is the next expression of a long line of delicious spirits with this guiding light. Initially aged in new, charred white oak barrels, we then finished our flagship high-wheat bourbon in barrels made from Amburana wood harvested in Brazil. Amburana wood, known for its tight grain and unique flavor profile, has traditionally been used to age Brazil’s favorite spirit, Cachaca. Breweries first started finishing beers in the wood just a few years ago, and with how well-received those beers have been, we thought a bourbon whiskey finished in Amburana Wood barrels would likewise bear fruit. We think you’ll agree the result is a delicious dram, with tropical and spicy notes, floral complexity, and exotic aromatics not typically found in our Fiddler line.
