Pen and ink drawing on paper. No date: estimated to be c. 1810-20. Image size: 113 x 90mm - 4 1/2 x 3 1/2" approx. Trimmed close to image at right-hand side; a little show-through of the image on the reverse (see photo). Otherwise good. A wonderfully lively, ad vivum sketch of a fiddler along with another fellow dancing to his tune. The image on the reverse is a caricature of another dancer, equally lost in the music and perhaps a little the worse for wear. Show more
