The AIRBELT E2 TURBO wears dark blue trim, which makes this an unusually easy part to pin down: if the filter panel on the machine is that colour, 8224DBER is the number. SEBO buil ds the shade into the code as well — DB stands for dark blue throughout its numbering, and the ER ending marks a service item.The panel has two jobs and does both simply by being shut. It seals the filter compartment against the body, and it presses the media down so the whole airstream is committed to passing through it. Plastic stiffens as it ages, and the small retaining clips surrender first, almost always part-way through a filter change when the panel is being sprung open. Lose one clip and the cover stands off on that side; the media is no longer flat; and a share of the air takes the gap, carrying with it the fine particles the filter was fitted to catch. A fresh panel restores even pressure across the full face.One thing to know before ordering. This is the only cover in the 8224 series listed for this machine — the rest of the range was made for other canisters and is not interchangeable with it, however close the colour looks on a screen. Match the number rather than the photograph. The data plate on the underside of the canister settles it in a couple of seconds, and it is worth the look before an order goes in for a panel that has to fit exactly.
