Finca Adalgisa is a miniscule 2 acre wine estate planted in 1916 by the Italian Furlotti and Moretti Families in the prestigious Lujan de Cuyo appellation of Argentina. Three generations later, Gabriela Furlotti continues to produce this singular wine from their 100+ year old Malbec vines with the help of beloved Argentinian/Sicilian winemaker Carmelo Parri. Carmelo chooses to focus on balance and terroir as opposed to extraction and overt ripeness, and he is one of the few Argentinian winemakers who actively chooses to bottle age wines prior to their release, creating wines of depth and complexity. The wine was wild fermented for 20 days, then aged for two years in stainless steel and French oak, before maturing in bottle for a minimum of three years. Blackberries, blueberries and red cherries, with intense clove, cinnamon, licorice, and cedar, with a heavy dose of charred oak and an almost gamey meat quality in the finish. Only 500 cases produced. 13.0% ABV
