It is a great blend for backyard bird watchers who have multiple feeder types or want to add a finch feeder to their collection. Our signature finch mix contains thistle(Nyjer®), sunflower hearts, and other premium seeds which are oil-rich, high in protein & fat, and packed with the energy finches crave. Seeds high in fat are particularly beneficial to birds in winter months to help them survive as temperatures drop and the ground is covered in snow. Our Finch Mix only features small, oil-rich seeds which are preferred by birds with smaller beaks such as goldfinches, purple finches, siskins, juncos, redpolls, chickadees, nuthatches, tanagers, buntings, towhees, and more. Using this blend can also attract other birds who prefer high-fat seeds such as cardinals, grosbeaks, pine siskins, sparrows, doves, and many more. Finch Mix seeds are very small and are best used in the following feeder types: small-hole tube feeders, thistle feeders, Nyjer® feeders, mesh feeders, and thistle sacks/socks.
