On a home trip to the Northern Territory to visit family, my cousin and I took ourselves on an overnight kayaking trip through the remote gorges of Nitmiluk National Park. Situated in central Northern Territory, one of the hottest and driest places in Australia, Katherine Gorge provides a refuge for explorers and animals. Sharing the gorge with crocodiles and birds of prey, we kayaked into the wild and camped under the stars.
