About This Print: After a long day of hiking, we arrived at our accommodation for the night. We could choose to each sleep in separate rooms, but instead decided it would be fun to sleep in three single beds squished together in the middle of the communal area. The weather was horrific with ear-piercing thunder and rain smashing into the tin roof. The water was leaking down onto us as we lay awake for hours, giggling like we were at a primary school sleepover. By morning, it was foggy, cold, and the trail was slippery. We didn’t feel like hiking, but we went anyway. Around lunchtime, we were invited into a local house. Inside, there was a simple cut-out for a window, but no glass. As I looked through it, I saw this scene, quite literally already framed, so I reached for my camera to capture the moment. - Sapa, Vietnam, 2024 A Spark for the Soul -This photo is meant to be more than decor; it’s a doorway, reminding you that you’re capable of far more than you imagine.
