While tuned for finesse, this blank still has the strength to handle bigger fish when one shows up, keeping steady pressure without feeling overpowered. Blanks can be trimmed from butt end if a different length is desired. Ideal for custom ice rod builds targeting finicky bluegill, crappie, perch, and other light-biting species. The 0.75 mm tip loads easily with 3 mm to 4 mm tungsten jigs, providing excellent visual and feel-based bite detection, while the 6 mm butt diameter offers surprising backbone for controlled hook-sets and confident fish handling.
