GoldArt is a stoneware clay burning to a very light buff color at cone 06 and to a darker cream color at cone 8 and light grey at cone 10. Used as a primary component of stoneware bodies in the cone 6-10 range, it lends plasticity to the body while the small amount of iron and titania lead to pleasing orange, grey, red and other color effects in reduction and/or wood firing atmospheres. GoldArt refractory clay is 200 mesh, and made by the Cedar Heights Clay Company, which has been mining and processing clays in Southern Ohio since 1924. Show more
