Flexible fire-protective covering FIRECOAT Membrane is a thin, flexible, fire-resistant sheeting designed to temporarily protect assets and structures against approaching bushfire. This durable, weatherproof material can be used to cover glass windows and doors to stop flames, flying debris and embers from entering the home. It can also be wrapped around timber power poles and fences, vehicles and other small assets to shield them from flames, radiant heat and ember attack. When exposed to flame or radiant heat, FIRECOAT Membrane expands to form a strong insulating barrier that reduces heat transfer to the underlying surface. This char barrier helps delay ignition, deter structural damage, and stop embers and flames reaching your belongings. FIRECOAT Membrane is perfect for residential homes and buildings, infrastructure assets and commercial properties. Easy to fit to doors and windows, it’s also flexible enough to be wrapped around assets of all shapes and sizes, from timber poles to cars and trailers. The sheets are easily handled, cut, joined and installed onsite when bushfires threatens – no specialist skills or equipment are needed. Once the threat has passed, simply remove the coverings and store safely for reuse.
