The candle that sparked the curiosity. We present a custom, 67% essential oil blend to bring an authentic smoked wood scent. Three types of cedarwood, airy pine needle, and a hint of smoke fragrance create the illustrious illusion of a hearth fire for all to enjoy. This candle contains fragrance oils that are non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic, and phthalate-free. We've made an exclusively essential oil exception for this candle for the time being, since the fragrance is difficult to achieve without doing so, and the particular fragrance oils used do not pose a health risk. This candle is temporarily unavailable as we test out a 100% essential oil blend. Each 9 oz (Net Weight 7.8 oz) candle yields 55+ hours of light and scent, up to 15 hours more than a traditional candle of this size. As a general rule, caution should be exercised when diffusing essential oils if you, a family member, or pet have a known respiratory issue or allergy to any of the plants listed in the scent notes. It's best to consult a doctor before use of essential oils, and it is recommended with any fragrance product that there is an option for pets to exit the space if they choose to do so. While essential oils are central to aromatherapy, research on effect and efficacy varies from plant to plant, so we make no medicinal claims. The conclusion from our personal use is that these scents can potentially have a positive impact on mental wellbeing, either from their natural terpenes (Linalool, Limonene, Beta-Pinene, etc.), the olfactory-provoked autobiographical memory (Proust Phenomena), or both. We encourage you to read peer-reviewed articles specifically about the diffusion of different essential oils for more information. Candle Care: - Trim the wick to a 1/4 inch before each burn. - Only burn on stable, heat-resistant surfaces away from flammable items, curtains, and bedding. - Keep out of reach of children and pets. - For best results, allow wax pool to reach the edge of the jar. - Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. - Never leave a burning candle unattended.
