This online course is designed as a helpful refresher for those who have already completed their initial First Aid certification. Ideal for years 2 and 3 after certification, this review reinforces essential first aid knowledge to keep your skills sharp and ready. In Part 1, individuals will learn about the role of the first aid provider, emergency action principles, breathing and choking emergencies, CPR, AED use, bleeding, fractures, and shock. Part 2 covers head and spine injuries, eye injuries, burns, poisoning, seizures, and temperature-related emergencies such as frostbite and heat illness. Remember, in Ontario, First Aid certification is valid for three years, but annual refreshers are recommended by the Canadian Red Cross and many employers.
