Fish painting is made with Italian artisan plaster with specks of mica on wood floating structure, 30.5 x36 inches. the fish are silver and gold leaf, outlined with oil pastels. Na ive, bold and fun art by Valentine is a new concept to bring out the child within, July 2022. The orange piece was at Lapis Room and just sold august 2024. I can commission another on in any color bowl. Painted during march 2020 lock down, everything was still, and there was a moment to reflect... art materials were not essential, I ended up cutting pieces or wood I had lying in the garage, not really knowing the outcome. This shape remind me of a bowl or basket, subsequently I ended up doing a few other themes of food in bowls. The fish was a reflex to express how abundant my life was a t the time, event though there were many challenges socially. Show more
