FishScience Algae Clear (250ml) – Freshwater Algae Treatment for Green & Brown Algae That dull green or brown film creeping across your glass and décor is one of the most common frustrations in fishkeeping – and FishScience Algae Clear tackles it head-on. Formulated specifically for freshwater aquariums, it helps prevent and control nuisance green and brown algae on glass, ornaments, and hardscape, keeping your tank looking the way it should. The key is catching it early – AlgaeClear works best when used at the first signs of algae growth, rather than waiting until it's taken hold across the whole tank. A bit of regular vigilance and this product on hand makes ongoing aquarium maintenance noticeably easier. Key Features & Benefits Tackles Green & Brown Algae: Targets the two most common nuisance algae types found in freshwater tanks. Works on Glass, Ornaments & Décor: Suitable for use across all aquarium surfaces and hardscape. Supports Cleaner Tank Appearance: Helps maintain a clear, presentable aquarium with less manual scrubbing. Easy Dosing Formula: Simple, measurable dosing for straightforward treatment. Best Used Early: Most effective when applied at the first signs of algae growth. Freshwater Aquariums Only: Formulated specifically for freshwater set-ups. Why We Rate This A bit of algae is completely normal in any established aquarium, but when it starts taking over glass and décor, it's usually a sign that something in the tank's balance – light, nutrients, or maintenance routine – needs a bit of attention alongside any treatment. AlgaeClear is a genuinely useful tool for getting on top of an outbreak, but it works best as part of a wider approach rather than a standalone fix. We'd recommend keeping an eye on your tank regularly so you can catch algae growth early – treating a light dusting on the glass is always easier and more effective than dealing with a tank that's gone green. Used as directed, with repeat treatments where needed, this is a solid option for getting things back under control. Dosage Guide Dose 5ml per 25 litres. Repeat after 2 days if required, up to a maximum of 2–3 treatments. Suitable For: Freshwater aquariums experiencing green or brown algae growth Tanks with algae on glass, ornaments, or hardscape Aquarists wanting to catch algae growth early and maintain a cleaner tank Catch it early, keep it clear – add FishScience Algae Clear to your basket today.
