Fixomusk™ is an elegant restoration of the original Fixomusc of Chuit Naef & Cie popularised by fragrances such as Styx by Coty, Après L'Ondée and L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain and great later 20th century scents such as Poison by Dior, Oscar de la Renta, Parfum Sacré by Caron and Gianfranco Ferré for men. Fixomusk is a soft and sweet animalic fixative base loaded with luxurious natural oils and absolutes. It is synergistic with Ambreine, Opoponax Doux and Irrozol. Use traces to add incredible longevity to your perfumes and cosmetics, or overdose it for its unique scent profile. Due to the presence of musk ketone at a whopping 17%, Fixomusk should be restricted to 8.2% of a finished fragrance for customers requiring compliance with EU 1223/2009. Musk ketone is legal and unrestricted by IFRA but limited in quantity in European cosmetic products (including fine fragrance). This crystallises slightly in cold environments. Apply gentle heat to dissolve. Note: in preparation for IFRA 51 this product has been slightly reformulated and Benzyl Benzoate has been entirely eliminated.
