A modification of the ubiquitous Panzer IV chassis, the Ostwind anti-aircraft vehicle served in the final months of the Seco nd World War. 44 were produced by marrying the Panzer IV hull and running gear with a single 37mm automatic cannon in a hexagonal, open-topped turret, and the design was intended to provide more effective mobile anti-aircraft fire than its Wirbelwind predecessor.
