About This Yarn The addition of silk to the merino makes the yarn smoother and adds a shine. It also adds strength to this construction. The knitted fabric is crisp, and the stitch definition is really good. It works well in lace patterns and is great for shawls and accessories where you really want to see the stitch definition.
