PUL in Children’s clothing is required to comply with the Standard for the Flammability of Clothing Textiles, 16 CFR Part 1610, promulgated under the Flammable Fabrics Act (FFA). T he standard, sometimes referred to as the general wearing apparel standard, has been in existence since the 1950s. The clothing must be certified as compliant in a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) based on passing test results from a CPSC-accepted laboratory.Our fabrics are not treated to prevent flammability.This certificate covers lead as well.
