Very popular, beautiful fabric in scarves, kind of a cross in weave between Habotai and Crepe de Chine. Confusing name, because Crepe de Chine is not shiny. But here the "crepe weave" is flattened on the surface so that this is actually shinier than Habotai, with more visual texture than Satin, if that makes sense. A bit like a lightweight Taffeta. Real smooth surface for painting and resist work. Semi-sheer, less so when dyed. Great for making blouses and other lighter weight garments.
