Phyllostachys Aurea 'Flavescense Inversa' has low-growing limbs and thick foliage. Inversa’s characteristics plus being aggressive in full sun make it an excellent choice for a privacy screen. The canes of Inversa are a deep, emerald green with bright, lemon-yellow stripes in the sulcus grooves. The bottom of the canes features stacked inter-nodes which are often referred to as turtle backs. These features along with the nodes being compacted make for a beautiful species whether it is a standalone specimen or added into a landscape. When planted with Phyllostachys Aurea 'Koi', the two species offer brilliant contrast and complement each other well. 'Flavenscense Inversa’ is a rare sub-species of Phyllostachys Aurea, making it a collector species and supplies limited.
