Depending on your hair's thickness and density, section your wet hair into 4-6 sections, then scrunch a quarter to half-dollar-sized amount of gel into each. If desired, finger twirl individual curls or use a curl-defining brush, after scrunching in gel. Use a cotton t-shirt (terrycloth towels can increase frizz) to scrunch out excess water. Let air dry or diffuse. Between wash days, with the refresher: Lightly mist your curls with warm water. Then, pump a dime- to quarter-sized amount of Refresher into the palm of your hand and rub to evenly distribute. Finger-comb and/or palm product from the midpoint to ends of your hair (or anywhere you want to define curls and manage frizz). Detangle with a wide-tooth comb as needed.
