For most conventional battery technologies (e.g. Flooded Lead Acid) and in most Canadian climate zones, the 100Voc limit of the charge controller only allow 2x54cell or 2x60cell (o r 2x120cell equivalent) solar panels connected in series. This configuration might not provide sufficient charge voltage for 48Vnominal battery systems to fully charge (or equalize) the battery bank.
