This Cyanotype Processing Kit from Flic Film lets you create unique imagery on a number of different mediums. The cyanotype process was conceived by Sir John Herschel in 1842 and t he formula has remained essentially unchanged until today. It is a non-toxic simple approach to making prints by laying a negative over treated paper and exposing it to the sun. It can also be used for photograms, an image made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of a light-sensitive material and then exposing it to light. Water colour paper or cotton cloth are both excellent mediums for cyanotype printing. Cyanotypes can be toned to different colours after being bleached. Toners can be tea, coffee, wine or any other tannic acid rich liquid. Show more
