While tuning an eight string ukulele takes more time than tuning a four string ukulele, the playing difference is not widely different, as your fingers will feel each course of two strings as a single larger string. Like the standard four string Flight Iris Concert and Tenor models, the Iris 8 boasts a painted solid spruce top with laminate mahogany back and sides.
