A mixed media painting based on the flight patterns of honeybees as they forage to and from their hives. Scientists affixed transmitters to honeybees to determine how they orient t hemselves in the landscape. The complexity of layered lines and colour patches remind us that over time, the layers of different bee individuals overlap to create an indispensable imprint on the survival of all species. This work tames vibrant with torquoise and terracottas with soft yellows and greens. Show more
