Type: Game Platform: Windows Publisher: Take 2 Released: 1996 Media: CD Flip Out is a cute puzzle/action game involving an alien contest practiced by the clay-like bug-eyed inhabitants of the Cheese Planet. The puzzles revolve around selecting and flipping a group of items (initially square tiles flipping from a 3x3 grid) so that they end up in a pattern matching the grid they are on. The game has a built in tutorial that get's you going without needing to read a detailed explanation of each puzzle.After several levels of flipping colored squares, you move on to levels where you flip and match different items. In one level you have to flip pieces of the faces on Mt. Rushmore to put the presidents back together again. In another level, you flip colored aliens to a matching colored geyser in Yellowstone National Park. Several difficulty settings are available and other hazards such as napping or "unflippable" aliens add to the challenge.
