In addition to BCA Float 2.0 compressed air system, we’re offering the new Float E2, our electronic airbag system that’s fully rechargeable and approved for airline travel. With the Float E2, it’s possible to perform multiple deployments in the field—or in your garage. We’re not advocating getting involved in multiple avalanches—or even one, for that matter. But we’ve always been advocates of regularly practicing with your equipment. And we’re all human. Even us “experts” at BCA have inadvertent deployments once in a while. It’s nice to have a backup so you don’t have to call it a day after a mistake. The Float Airbag system does not guarantee survival in an avalanche incident.
