A bare arm reaches upward into a wide sky filled with soft clouds, a pink sheer fabric drifting alongside it. A circular mirror reflects the same sky, erasing the line between surf ace and air. The body is nearly lost in the open sky. What remains is a single gesture, weightless, and letting go. Carla Sutera Sardo (Agrigento, 1983) is a self-taught photographer whose work focuses on women and the communication between bodies and landscapes. Her photographs have been published in Vogue Italia and L'Oeil de la Photographie, and have received recognition including the Sony World Photography Awards, the Siena International Photography Awards, and the Prix de la Photographie.
