Plant Profile If your aquascape needs a plot twist, the Floating Christmas Moss Ball is ready to deliver. Christmas Moss gets attached to a buoyant core, letting you build floating islands that look like they drifted in from another world. Moss is also super forgiving, so you don’t need years of experience to make it look good. It’s a fun, easy way to create a scape that feels bold, three‑dimensional, and just a tiny bit magical. Key Features & Benefits Buoyant core pairs with an anchor line to create instant, sci-fi floating islands at any water height. Adds dramatic vertical structure and overhead shade without requiring complex hardscape stacking or heavy stones. Mid-water floating canopy creates a safe, stress-free shelter that encourages shy fish and dwarf shrimp to forage in the open. Care & Planting Instructions Tie the pre-attached clear line to a heavy rock or driftwood on your substrate to anchor the floating ball securely at your desired water depth. Maintain a stable aquarium environment and avoid sudden, drastic changes to your water parameters to keep your moss looking vibrant and healthy. Give the moss an occasional light haircut with sharp aquascaping shears to keep its spherical shape neat, compact, and perfectly balanced. Propagate your patch in seconds by saving the trimmed moss pieces and tying or gluing them to hardscape elsewhere in your tank. Add CO2 injection if you want to accelerate growth and unlock the most intense, eye-popping green coloration possible. Quick Facts Listed information should be treated as general guidelines only. How do I keep my Floating Christmas Moss Ball from turning brown or yellow? Christmas Moss prefers clean, moving water and cooler temperatures (under 78°F). Browning usually occurs when organic debris gets trapped inside the dense fronds or when water temperatures run too high. Gently siphoning debris out during water changes will keep the inner growth green and healthy. 2. What is the best way to attach or anchor the floating ball in my tank? The ball comes with a clear tether line included. Simply tie the loose end of the line to a small rock, gravel anchor, or piece of hardscape, burying the anchor in your substrate to keep the ball suspended cleanly at your preferred depth. 3. How do I stop moss trimmings from spreading everywhere during maintenance? Always turn off your filter pumps and powerheads before trimming moss. Use sharp curved shears to make clean cuts, and immediately scoop or siphon out floating cuttings so they don't take root in unwanted areas of your aquarium.
